How Dr. Friedman Chooses the Right Procedure for You
The art and science of vision correction has come a long way since 1979, when Radial Keratotomy was introduced in the United States! Dr. Friedman, who introduced vision correction to the Monterey Peninsula in 1992, has had to integrate multiple procedures over the last 16 years to maintain the 'State of the Art'. These include: LASIK, LASEK, PRK, epi-LASIK, CK, Phakic ICL's, and bifocal implants.
How does a patient know which procedure is right for them? In some cases multiple procedures might be available for your correction (e.g. CK vs. LASIK vs. bifocal implants for farsightedness). This is where the experience of the physician is important. Dr. Friedman first begins by examining your eyes with the aid of specialized refractive instruments (Topography, Wavescan, and pachymetry). He then will assess your visual demands and expectations. Only then can the best recommendation be made.
Dr. Friedman looks forward to meeting you and helping you find the best vision correction solution for your needs. To schedule an appointment, please call: 831-375-2486.
